Health and Safety

Although Cyprus is a very safe country for children, our schools are aware of the changing times and we are doing everything in our power to keep our students safe.

The school is a closed site with fences surrounding the perimeter and all visitors are expected to enter via the main entrance through the Reception building. Access to the main teaching building is restricted and parents wishing to see staff must book an appointment in advance.

Parents meeting children at the end of the day must wait for the children to be brought to reception. Parents will need to give written permission for their children to be collected by another person.

Once a child has been handed over to the parent, that parent assumes responsibility for their child and must take responsibility for their child’s behaviour. Children will not be allowed off site on educational trips without a consent form signed by a parent or guardian.

Illness:

Please inform staff of any health problems that your child may have such as allergies, eczema, asthma, and of any other upsets that might affect them during the day. If your child complains of feeling unwell at school, we will notify you immediately. Depending on the time of day and how unwell your child is, you may be asked to come and collect your child from school.

Medication:

The School’s policy is that medicines will only be accepted if a doctor or a dentist has prescribed them.

The school has adopted the following guidelines for the administration of medicines. Medicines must always be handed into the School Office by the parents and not by children.

We do not accept birthdays to be celebrated in school due to allergies...
