American Primary School Sets 2 Records in Athletics

Saffet Özmenek, student and athlete of American Primary school breaks a long jump record which had not been broken for 15 years. Saffet Özmenek will represent TRNC for the competitions to be held in Turkey.

Following the successful achievement of Girne American College athletes Saffet Özmenek of American Primary school breaks the record after 15 years in long jump.

Following the record of Saffet Özmenek after 15 years with a record of 4.79m under TRNC Men’s Junior category, Özmenek also broke a record for 100m sprint by crossing the line in 13.96 seconds. Özmenek will represent TRNC for the competitions to be held in Turkey between the dates of 22-23 May.

successful scores in the competitions. Emre Çetinaslan, student and athlete of American College is the champion of the island for high jump in men’s junior category and Nagehan Dölek of Girne American College receives bronze in 300m sprint.
